Her professional career has included clinical practice, university research and teaching, and business consulting. She is Past President of the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel, 2021 recipient of the JoAnn Maklebust Life Time Achievement Award and was one of the NPIAP representatives on the International Clinical Practice Guideline Governance Group.
