The book provides real world advice from an internationally respected and trusted sports nutritionist. It outlines the latest research and information on what to eat before, during, and after exercise; sport drinks and energy foods; popular trends like keto and gluten free diets; when and how much carbohydrate to eat; meal patterns that fit an athlete’s training schedule; sustainability; and digestive issues. The book provides practical tips regarding vegan, diabetic, gluten free, low FODMAP, and bariatric diets as well as information on nutrition care for athletes with anorexia and binge eating disorders.

This course is appropriate for professionals who are new to the area of sports nutrition as well as those who need a refresher that includes well researched, practical information and tips to use with their clients. The course uses a case study based format to assess the reader’s knowledge and understanding of the content and their ability to apply it to clinical practice.

This self-study course includes required reading, a downloadable course document and an online exam with multiple choice, case study based questions. This course exam includes 48 questions. Upon passing the test, the learner can download and print the certificate.
