OVERVIEW: Obesity is on the rise in the United States, and as a result is on the rise in long-term care facilities. Obese patients with wounds present many challenges to the health care professional, including challenges in assessing nutritional status and treating pressure ulcers. This session will help the health care professional set goals for treatment of the obese patient with wounds.
