This continuing professional education self-study course includes required reading of an article on dietary management of obesity. The article offers a review of evidence-based strategies and tools for promoting and sustaining weight loss through the reduction of energy-dense foods that are often low in nutrients and high in added sugars and fat.

The continuing professional education course requires the learner to apply the information in the article to a case-study based exam which helps assimilate the new knowledge into practice.
