Position: Registered Dietitian, Part Time
Location: Toledo, Ohio
Description:
Part-time RD 1-3 days per week in NW Ohio to provide clinical nutrition services to a skilled nursing facility. If you are a confident, enthusiastic professional with long term care experience and you enjoy challenge and diversity in your career, we’d love to hear from you!
Requirements:
• Registered Dietitian with a license in the current state of practice, as appropriate.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with team members.
• Self-directed, able to work without the presence of an immediate supervisor.
• Previous long term care experience required: minimum of 3 years of experience
• Experience with survey process and compliance to all regulations related to nutrition care, food safety, sanitation, and dining services.
• Skilled/knowledgeable in completing individual nutrition assessments, MDS 3.0, care plans; providing counseling/education for individual residents.
• Knowledgeable in how to review menus to ensure that they are in compliance with regulations and physician’s orders.
• Ability to implement appropriate systems for nutrition care.
• Ability to implement quality improvement programs in the areas of nutrition, food preparation and dining service.
• Ability to identify needs and assist with staff education/training as needed.
• Successful participation in state surveys and plans of correction.
