This CD-Rom will help you prepare for the new LTC Quality Indicator Survey process! Plans are underway for a nationwide rollout of the new Quality Indicator Survey (QIS). The QIS is a revised long-term care survey process developed to improve the consistency and accuracy of surveys. The new process includes detailed documentation of interviews with residents, family and staff, including detailed questions about dining and meals. Learn the ins and outs of the new process and how you can help your facilities prepare for the new QIS process. We will discuss in detail the stages of the QIS and the specific areas related to dining, food service and clinical documentation. We will talk about each of the interview tools and how they relate to dining and food service. We'll also review the Nutrition, Hydration and Tube Feeding Status investigative document.
