FDA Issues 2009 Food Code

The Food and Drug Administration announced the publication of the new FDA Food Code, a model code and reference document that provides a scientifically sound technical and legal basis for regulating the retail and food service segment of the food industry...Among the changes: Requirements are added to improve food worker awareness of food allergen concerns, and cut leafy greens are now included among the foods that require time and temperature control for safety.

The updated file "Data Technical Files V1.01 November 2009" contains information on: MDS 3.0 Data Submission Specifications; RUG-IV SAS Package; RUG-III MDS 3.0 Mapping Specifications; MDS 3.0 Care Area Trigger (CAT) Specifications (CATs are replacing the MDS 2.0 Resident Assessment Protocols RAPs.)

ADA Publishes Evidence-Based Nutrition Practice Guideline for Unintended Weight Loss in Older Adults
