Health, Growth, and Development!

  Proper nutrition is essential for the growth and development of children. 
  Providing nutrition services is a regulatory component of Head Start.  We
  are a nutrition consulting firm with nutrition services for Head Start Programs
  in Ohio.  We have many experienced consulting dietitians that can help on a
  part time or prn basis.  We have been in business for over 20 years and
  can help to make your job easier!
  
 
 We can provide the following services:


Nutritional Services:
* Complete nutrition assessments of children who are high risk 
   (overweight, underweight, low hgb/hct, high lead levels, food allergies, 
   other pertinent nutrition related health problems) for Head Start, 
   Early Head Start, Home Based, and School Collaberatives
* Site visits, parent and teacher consults
* Development, review and approval of menus

Education:
* Develop nutrition education materials and provide for parents 
   and teachers regarding high risk children
* Presentations at annual parent meetings as requested
* Conduct inservices to appropriate staff and parents

Regulations:
* Key participant in the Health Services Advisory Committee
* Work closely with the consultant nurse on health issues and needs assessment of the students
* Implement and follow policies and procedures based upon Performance Standards
* School site monitoring for compliance of USDA regulations of menus, sanitation, meal service, etc.
